Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming the industrial landscape and Critical TechWorks is at the forefront of that change. The panel was part of the “Industry of the Future” forum, hosted by Instituto Superior Técnico in collaboration with Instituto de Sistemas e Robótica (ISR-Lisboa).

The panel, titled “Industry of the Future: Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Services”, brought together experts from both academia and industry. Moderated by José Santos-Victor (Técnico/ISR-Lisboa/LARSyS), the discussion featured representatives from Fravizel Engineering, Sonae MC, TEKEVER, and Critical TechWorks.
Christine Marconcin shared insights into real-world applications of AI developed in partnership with BMW, including:
- Child detection systems inside vehicles;
- Lane-change control technologies powered by intelligent algorithms.
These examples showcased how AI is rapidly integrating into the driving experience, reinforcing Critical TechWorks’ role in bringing cutting-edge innovation to the automotive sector.

Christine emphasized that AI is becoming "an essential tool in the workforce," and stressed the importance of preparing teams to work with these technologies responsibly and strategically. She concluded with a powerful message: "There are big challenges to solve; the important thing is to fight analysis paralysis and act: just do it."
