Taking Neurodiversity into Engineering Excellence! The Neurodiversity Talent Program has started
The 4th edition of the Neurodiversity Talent Program just started! We will have open days at the office in April and we invite you to spread the message.
The main objective is to recruit, train, and integrate young people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) into engineering teams, showing that technological careers are within everyone's reach, which can be motivating and result in an effective contribution to challenging projects.
In 2022, Critical TechWorks joined the Neurodiversity Program initiative first launched by Critical Software in partnership with Specialisterne. We currently have 22 people hired by CSW and CTW companies in less than three years. This journey has been rich in learning and reflections on inclusion, acceptance, and many other skills we have developed together to make projects like this in Portugal possible.
In 2024, we will continue to join efforts to welcome and integrate more neurodiverse people at CTW and CSW. On that note, the Happiness team is organizing open days at our offices in April as a starting point for the 4th edition of the Neurodiversity Program!
Yes, that's right. We are opening applications for people with ASD who are interested in technology, motivated to work, and have intermediate knowledge of programming and English. They don't need higher education in the area.
